Future improvements suggestions

Hi,

First of all great plugin, thank you for your work. I’ve been searching for something that simple with that many fields and options and almost everything is just paid.

I wanted to create a topic to make some suggestions (now and maybe in the future) about some things I noticed while creating a new form.

1. Font used on Admin page – you are using CSS “font-family: ‘robot'” in the Admin Dashboard which does not load correctly on my website. It would be nice to include that font/Google loader CSS or just add fallback font. Font in the Editor shows correctly.

2. Heading with subtitle/description. Right now you can add Heading, then add Paragraph as description but spacing is just too big. It would be nice to have Heading with description as one.

3. Spacing between Heading and previous Field – I think there is too little space before Heading and as above too much spacing after Heading.

4. New form name input – as shown in any other forms plugins I can either type form name right after clicking “Add” button (like popup or so) or there is an easy accessible input at the top of the form editor. Right now going to Settings to change Form name is just counterintuitive for me.
5. New form is created in the database right after clicking “Add New”. It would be nice to create new form only after clicking “Save” or just add some input for naming that new form after “Add New” and before showing Editor. Besides that a nice touch would be to just auto save form after each edition.
6. Form tabs/pages – it would be nice to have tabs or pages to split form across multiple views and just click Previous/Next.
7. Add Form Element behavior – add button creates new element at the bottom of form. It would be nice to have that changed to add new element right after focused/clicked element.
8. Field on mouse hover – border around Field is great but is changing size of the whole Field on hover. Quick workaround is to just have transparent border on non active/hovered fields.
9. Duplicate form – just not proper English text ending with exclamation mark. Should it be ending with question mark? Duplicate Field also contains exclamation mark instead of question mark.

10. Form preview without having to use shortcode, just like editing a page or post. In WordPress and many similar forms plugins there are separate links for content to just see it without publishing or adding shortcode to some page.
11. Quick edit from Admin page – it would be nice to quickly edit form name from Admin Dashboard page.

12. Admin page forms order – right now forms are ordered by ID if I’m assuming correctly? It would be nice to: 1. be able to click on table header to filter by column asc/desc and 2. maybe sort by name by default?
13. Localization – I can’t see some of the texts on the WP Translation page like “Middle” which is pretty important to me (Full Name Field). Right now I have to hide text under the input or edit the plugin manually. Another great option would be to change those texts in the Preferences of the Field.
14. Texts and labels corrections – like “color” in lowercase, “Css” e.g.

15. Field classes – is it necessary to have “Add” and “Remove” classes buttons? For example if I wanted to add 4 classes and then just remove one I would have to add all 3 classes because Remove button removes all of them. Can’t it be just simple input for CSS classes without buttons?
16. Submit button – is it a feature to add Submit button wherever I want? Wouldn’t it be better to just add Submit button at the end of a form by default?

I am aware that some suggestions are just my preferences or just complains about some of your development choices. I just finds some things that can be improved as a tester and developer myself. ??
