Future idea / extension

  • I just came across this plugin and it could be very useful for another use case. Currently I am exporting our Lightroom images with Photo Engine (a.k.a. WP/LR sync).

    This works fine but a better way for us would be to rsync the export files from Lightroom to a random folder on the webhost. And then have your plugin scan and ingest new files (not existing in media library) into the upload folder (in current month folder).

    Even better would be if it detected removals of images from the random folder and removed those images from wordpress libary too.

    Is this an option worth considering?

    Hi @opicron, that could work if it’s not a random folder but an actual uploads folder (used by Media Library) because it wouldn’t make sense for this plugin to copy files from that random folder to uploads folder. This plugin doesn’t touch actual files at all, it only updates WordPress database.
    If I understand it correctly.
