future events

    I’ve set 1 year in (Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives > Event list scope) and now in the list I can see only the events in that range of time. However, I’ve seen that if I do make a research with wordpress, there is a series of the same events, only with different starting dates.
    Furthermore I’ve seen that both on the calendar and also if I make a research of more than one year, ther are always the events I do not want to show. Als in the place and categories I have a long list of future events of more than one year. How can I hide these?
    How do search engines behave in front of duplicated events?
