Future (delayed publishing) Posts not appearing in Admin

  • I have recently upgraded a blog (that seems to have been attacked) that was running 2.01 to 2.7. The upgrade did not go smoothly due to what seems to have been database permission problems. I did manage to get the blog up and running but there is one persistent problem which I can’t seem to shake or trace.

    Posts that have a future publishing date do not appear in the posts administration. There were about 20 such posts in the blog and I can locate them in the database – but they do do not appear in the admin. I also added a test post and it to does not appear. These posts are also not published when their publish time arrives.

    What to do?

    another indicator of something not right – on the edit posts admin screen:

    On one hand
    All posts: 2189
    Published: 2046
    Drafts: 103
    Private: 4

    on the other hand
    page navigation indicates 1 of 15 of 2153

    there are 36 posts missing!

    really frustrating! any suggestions?
