hello II just installed twenty twenty four but I can’t figure out what functions the automatically generated page has when installing the theme, (the one that appears when clicking on blog from my site). In particular I can’t edit the middle blocks but only the header and footer. Should this page be used as a Blog or Home page? Thank you
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
In general you can change the middle blocks of your Blog page like this:
Go to your site dashboard: Appearance > Editor > Templates and click “All templates”.
Look for the template used for your Blog page and select it.
After selecting the template, it will open the editor where you can change the contents of the middle blocks.
After making changes, click “Save”
Then refresh your browser and view the Blog page again to see if the changes made were reflected.
If you’re not able to edit the middle blocks, please share more details which page you are at, and screenshots of what you’re trying to do so I can try to test this on my site.
As for whether this page should be the Blog or Home page is up to you. Since you already have the Home page, you can keep Blog as a page for your posts instead. ??
Here are the operations I do: I use the Studio software (in localhost) to create test sites with Twenty Twenty Five;
1) I create site (with Studio) and at the end the Blog page appears – (see attached“Screenshot1 ”);
2) as you suggested I open the template “Blog Home”, this operation allows me to insert a pattern “Our online store” in the central part and a paragraph of text; (see “Screenshot2 ‘ attached); however the block ’Query loop” is not editable e.g. it does not allow me to insert the image in highlight in the gray placeholder; (see Screenshot “QueryLoop”);
3) I save and restart, the changes have been accepted (see Screenshot “Template saved”)
The point I do not understand is that this created “Blog” page, not appearing among the Pages in the Dashboard, I do not know how to handle it. For example, it is not possible for me to put it in the menu of the Home Page (see Screenshot “Home Page”). Therefore, if from any page I wanted to return, via menu, to the page “Blog” created by the system and then edited by me, I necessarily have to click on the Blog Title “My Site Test”, which does not seem very intuitive for any visitor. I hope that in my enormous confusion I have managed to explain myself to some extent. A greeting
