• I tried to remove footer php code to clean front page but now my site is not working. Get warning:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /hermes/bosweb/web283/b2836/ipg.diabeticslifelinecom/options4wellness/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/functions.php on line 600

Should I strip out all WP code from my site and re-load?

  • No you just need to replace the theme files you tried to change.

After replacing the files with the original version, it is also highly recommended that you first create a child theme and make modifications from there. It would save you a ton of trouble in situations such as these. This article on Child Themes explains how to accomplish that.
