    Search Regex

On the screenshots tab of the plugin’s page, the image shows as if we could do the replacements occurrence by occurrence. However, the plugin doesn’t have that functionality. Is that by choice on this newer version, or my installation doesn’t function properly.

My use of the plugin would require replace one occurrence or two per post. The plugin now replaces everything or nothing.

    Thanks in advance,

    Dorian

  • I have this issue, as well. I’m in WordPress 4.7.3, which has not been tested with this plugin, but the functionality was too good to pass up (with no decent alternatives), so I had to try it.

I suspect that (sadly) the screenshot is out of date. It shows links to “View”, “Replace” and “Edit”, but now there is only “View” and “Edit”–and they apply to the whole post, rather than to the replacement text.

Even a simple “Ignore this replacement” checkbox would be handy, to prevent having to choose between all or nothing.

Alas, this post from 2 years ago says he went back three years, and found the same issue reported but unresolved.

The only possible conclusion is that development has stopped on this otherwise terrific initial effort.
