Function to select (highlight) text

Hi guys,

I want to add a button under the excerpt of my blog articles.

I want to add a function to every button where whenever the button is clicked it selects (highlights) the full text in the excerpt.

Note that I am not talking about “copy to clipboard”. I only need the text to get selected (highlighted).

Do you know something about this?
