    Thanks for following up on this and sorry it’s been a persistent issue for you!

    I’m afraid this is more of a styling conflict with the theme than it is a “bug” to resolve in a future update. It sounds like the CSS you used before does the trick, so I would suggest continuing to use it and keep that code in either your theme (or preferably child theme) style.css file, or using the Simple Custom CSS plugin to avoid losing that code on plugin updates.
