Fullscreen Editor Jumps to Top When I Paste

  • In the fullscreen editor, if I paste copy and paste text, upon paste, the editor scrolls to the top of the post every time. I am on Mac OS X 10.7.3. I am on Safari 5.1.5 (7534.55.3).

    Chrome 18.0.1025.162 has the same problem.

    I can reproduce the problem consistently. It is not intermittent.

    In the regular (not fullscreen) editor, I have no problem.

  • The Mac should not be the problem as I am on the same system and software as you and I do not have this problem. I think it just has to do with the amount of paste content and your scrollbar. It is more of a glitch than an actual fixable issue. Try resetting or quitting Safari. It may fix the glitch.

    It’s not the size of the content. It will happen if I cut and paste just a single word. Restarting Safari doesn’t help. Rebooting the computer doesn’t help.

    Also, it only happens in the Visual mode not HTML mode.

    I am on OS X 10.5.8, Safari 5.0.6. I have this same problem.

    It is the same when I use Camino 2.1.2.

    I can reproduce the problem on Windows with Chrome as well.

    Same happening for me on Windows 7/Chrome browser…

    Same on Mac OS X 10.6.8, Chrome 24.0.1312.45 beta.
