    Hi,
I embedded vimeo videos using the embed code in the text widget’s html section. However, the videos are neither centered nor full width. The embed code is <iframe src=”https://player.vimeo.com/video/217164769&#8243; width=”960″ height=”540″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=”allowfullscreen”></iframe> for example, yet on the site it is not so. Even though while working on the site in Elementor it is shown as this size. What to do?

    Thank you

  • Have you tried using the Video widget instead of the Text Editor widget? You may get better control that way,

Yes, thanks, but unfortunately no difference.

Can’t anybody help? I do not know how to solve this issue. I’ve tried to get the video to span the width of the widget space, but to no avail. What I have tried:
    – Changing the embed code to a higher width and height
    – Embed using HTML, Text Editor HTML & video
    – Content width in global settings is set to 1040px
    – No CC code is meddling with it, as far as I can see.

Thank you, your help is greatly appreciated!

So if you set up a new page or section (just to make sure there is nothing else interfering), and then drag a Video widget into the column, and then enter the Vimeo url into the Link field, it is still not filling that columnn? (i.e. not using an iframe embed code, just the actual URL link to the video.)

Can you create that page or section in that way, and if it doesn’t work, give us the link to that new test, so we can view it?

No, it is not, unfortunately. Here is a link to a test site. The top video is embedded using the HTML in the text editor, the bottom one using the method you described above.

    I appreciate your help

Ok, so they look centered to me, and I see you are using “stretched”. Turn that off and try to do this just by using Full Width sections. Section > Layout > Full Width. And make sure your page’s Page Layout (gear icon on lower left) is Elementor Full Width.

If that doesn’t work, then your theme may be the issue.

    It worked like this, thanks:
    1) Embed in HTML Tab of Text Editor Widget
    2) Change embed code dimensions to the width and calculated corresponding height I wanted
    3) Make sure column is not stretched and content set to full width
    4) Make sure Elementor Full Width is selected as the page layout
