Full width static page

I’d like to make my static page full width. I’m using the ‘Your latest posts’ at the moment, but I’ve created a Home page I’d like to use instead. However when I set it as a static page, it leaves a space to the right where the widgets usually are.

When I created the page and preview it, it looks how I want it to look, with the text and picture taking up the full screen.

Any help appreciated.
