• Hi,

How is it possible to make different SECTIONS of a page full width? I have tried using different shortcodes plugin but they leave margins on both sides. I am using a Child theme of Emphasize.

    Thanks in Advance
    Megan

Hi Megan….I’m just about to venture into the land of sleep as it’s midnight here but thought I would do a quick reply here…

I’m not quite sure I understand what you mean as “sections” of a full width page. Are you referring to some themes or sites that show various areas that are full width, some with background colours, some with background images, etc? Or do you have an example to show me?

I will follow up first thing tomorrow once I hear back from you.

    Hi,

Thanks for such a quick response. You understood it correct. Sections like in https://www.rorymcilroy.com/

Sorry for late reply, I started my day late here.
Anyway, thank you for the follow up information. The bad news is that this is not possible with this theme. Most if not all themes that can do that are using a page builder plugin that gives the ability to create sections (basically full page layouts).

However, somewhat of good news for Emphasize is that you would need to create a page using the theme’s Page Builder template, and then install/use a page builder plugin that has “Sections” as one of the options.

Generally a page builder plugin builds a page with multiple sections and blocks for various content elements. Usually with a page builder, you can build a ton of different kinds of layouts.

    Hey,

Thanks for the help. I am able to use a page builder and get the desired results. Only thing is it has slowed the site down.

I will try to figure out if the cache plugins can be modified.

    Thanks a ton
    Megan
