That issue reason is your theme incompatibility. You need to copy templates from WP-Property templates folder to your theme folder and customize them if you need.

Or you can use WordPress default themes(TwentyTen, TwentyEleven) or our Denali premium theme.

Im using WooThemes. They make some of the most popular WordPress themes in the world. Why on earth would you not make your plugin compatabile with that?

WP-Property 2.0 will be compatible with many themes, we need some time to finish it.

Would this be why the gallery in sidebar widgets does not fall in to my sidebar? Instead the gallery appears at the bottom of the page?

Yes, that can be the reason. You can copy templates form \wp-content\plugins\wp-property\templates\ to your theme folder and customize theme there for now.
