• Thank you for Evolve. It’s a really wonderful theme on so many levels. I’m incredibly grateful for it.

I have a question about functionality that I’ve seen on other themes that seems to be missing in this one. I’ll point to “ZeroGravity” as an example. In this theme, when editing a page, there is a drop-down under the “Page Attributes” section. You can choose “default,” or you can choose, “full-width page template, no sidebar.” This allows you to eliminate the sidebar in that particular page. (This feature is does not apply to posts, only pages.) I have several pages on my site that I would like to be full-width with no sidebar at all.

In Evolve, it would appear that the only provision for the inclusion of the sidebar happens at the theme customization level. Under “Main Layout,” you can choose to have a sidebar on the “front page layout” or the “general layout.” If I’m understanding correctly, this allows you to control the sidebar on the front page, and then all other pages.

There are plug-ins that allow one to suppress certain sidebar on certain pages, and indeed, you can eliminate all of the sidebar elements on a given page. But the theme still dedicates space for where those sidebar elements would have been. The other page content will not populate all the way across the page as if the sidebar weren’t there at all.

Perhaps there is a methodology of accomplishing my objective that I haven’t thought of. If so, can someone advise?

If this isn’t possible in Evolve, may I request that such a feature be added? ZeroGravity’s implementation works well. On a page-by-page basis, it’s very easy to decide if a sidebar will be included.

    Thanks for your consideration.
