I’m redesigning our website and really love the overall layout for this theme. But I soon noticed that it was limited by each page not being centered or taking up the full page. After some research I discovered that if I went with the premium version it would allow me that “full width page” feature that I’m looking for.

However, now that I have the premium theme and applied the full width page template to each page…nothing has happened. It is still in this weird off center, 2/3s display. And it’s really bothering me and throwing off the whole site. It is most noticeable on desktop which is where I do all of the work for the site of course.

I will even take “centering” the section that is currently available as a resolution to this problem. Any suggestions please let me know. I tried “additional css” based on code that was suggested in another thread but that did not resolve my issue.

If you need any more info on this situation let me know. This is a problem that exists across all of my site pages.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi @apprenticewriter!

Looking at the front end of your site, it looks like you may have resolved this. Is that so?

That’s so weird because on my end it still does not appear that way…which is very annoying. I’ve tried on multiple computers and restarting to see if it is an issue related to “syncing” or something like that. How curious.

Are you able to tell if the other pages are also appearing that way?

I would really like for this to appear on my end haha! It’s messing with how I approach the design.

The pages above all appear to have the default page template assigned to them. If you go into each of those pages and change the page template (under Page Attributes) to your full-width page template, that should do it.

I also see that your posts use the same 2/3 layout. Are you looking for those to be full-width as well?

Also, have you tried clearing your browser cache and/or any caching plugins you may be running on your site?

Thanks for this – it does appear that the issue is with the computer that I am working on. I went home and tried the site from there and am seeing what you are seeing, finally!

However, I still would like to see these updates from work. I use chrome and tested it with that browser at home. I’m not well versed in clearing cache – if you have a suggestion as to properly doing that I would really appreciate it.

I hope from there that resolves my issue and I can start fine tuning everything from there. Like the posts you mentioned – I should be able to adjust their layout once I get this larger issue resolved.

    Thanks again for your help!

I think I figured it out! Thanks again for your suggestions – looks like my cache was what was holding me back.
