Please can someone help me with this? There was a similar question in the past but it was closed with no resolution. I need to ensure that my full-width strip images located beneath my menu on most pages, are 1) not blurry and distorted from the original and 2) responsive on mobile and tablet display. When uploading the image there are options for ‘Position’, ‘Attachment’ ‘Repeat’, ‘Size’ and there is no instruction whatsoever about how to set these to make a half decent-looking full-width image display. Come on guys. This is basic stuff. Do I seriously have to change the whole theme of my site (just when I’m almost ready to go live) because of this?

Apologies for sounding annoyed but am feeling frustrated…

    Hi,

Could you please provide more details? I’m not sure I understand which images are you talking about.
If you could also share your site that would be great.

    Regards,
    Rodica

Thank you so much for your reply. Unfortunately, the site is not ready to go live yet. I want to put it live, but can’t possibly until I sort out the image display.

Here is the lovely image I upload into Neve via Elementor (1920 x 250px):

    Here’s how badly it displays:

Here’s how badly the preview tells me it will display on mobile:

Here’s how badly the preview tells me it will display on tablets:

Here are the settings I have tried every option on to make the images look good, and failed every time:

I would be extremely grateful if you could point me in the direction of any instructions about 1) what original image dimensions are recommended and 2) what image settings are recommended in order to make the image display well enough to publish. I have these images (different ones) on every page.

    Hi there,

This is not really related to the theme, as it’s more related to the options provided by Elementor.
And it can be difficult to make full width background images responsive and still look like they do on Desktop. Compromises are usually required. You can find some good tips about this at https://elementor.com/blog/website-background-images/

    Hi Rodicaelena,

I appreciate you coming back to me. Do you work for ThemeIsle?

I am not talking about a full-width background image. I am talking about a thin full-width ‘strip’ image below the menu on each page. It is not sitting behind anything so is hence not a background image.

WordPress is so frustrating. It is not difficult to make full-width images responsive when coding / developing a website from scratch. Neither is it difficult in Wix.

Also you didn’t mention anything about the blurriness of the display. Why does Elementor / Neve make every image look distorted and washed out?

    Hi there,

I’m sorry for the delayed reply, however, maybe you already have a staging website or pushed the changes live? Having the website where we can check the images would allow us to identify the reason why they are blurred. The links where images were uploaded before are no longer accessible also.

    Thank you!
