Full text settings

If your RSS feed is set to display the full text, and your email campaign is as well, the full content of your post will be in the feed/email.

If your feed is set to the full text, but you want the plugin to modify the excerpt as well, you can do so following the instructions in the FAQ by changing a few settings. Once you’ve set the plugin to process both the full text and the excerpt, the excerpt length will be set by the plugin setting as well, and override the standard excerpt.

So if I have checked full text set in the main wordpress rss settings and I’ve checked “Process both feed settings” then set the excerpt size to 75 words then the plugin should produce me a 75 word long text? I don’t see that’s happening.

I want to syndicate my reduced size articles syndicated to blogger through rss. Is it possible with this plugin?

When your feeds are set to display full text, the feed outputs both the full content of your article and an excerpt, or summary. Depending on where/how you are viewing the feed, you may be seeing one or the other or both (in Mailchimp, for example, you can set your RSS merge tags to display either the full text or the excerpt–so if you are working there, make sure you are using the excerpt merge tag, not the full text/content merge tag).

If you are using the alternate feed, make sure that the feed you are checking is the new/alternate one, not the original.

In some cases, the excerpt may not display the way you are expecting if another plugin or code is also modifying it. If you can share a link to your RSS feed, I may be able to clarify what you are experiencing.

As for Blogger, this plugin merely modifies the RSS feed being output from WordPress. If you can set up Blogger to pull the feed information, then I assume you can syndicate the feed there, but that could be done with any feed, I expect.

I’ve managed to get it working and set up IFTTT to pull the content of the feed and post it to blogger.

The only thing I need to solve is to modify the rss feed full text length in a way this plugin modifies the excerpt length. I don’t want to syndicate the whole article but the text I use as excerpt seems too short as it is basically optimized only for google serp.
