Full size images do not display

  • Hi,

    I’ve recently upgraded to WP 5.2. When I upload an image to a page, the image will not display if I set it to full size.
    For example, I open the image details from the media library, and change the size – thumbnail, medium, and large all work correctly, and a preview displays in the panel on the right, but if I select “full size”, the preview image disappears. If I go ahead and put the full size image into a post anyway, it will not appear.

    Any help on this would be appreciated.

    It’s a private site so I can’t share a link, sorry.

    Further to this, if I try and open the direct URL of the image, I get a 500 Internal Error. I’ve tried increasing the PHP memory limit, but that hasn’t done anything. The file isn’t anywhere near the size limit anyway.
