• Hi there,
I am completely new to WordPress and I’ve been trying to understand how everything works for the past day or two. So, I wanted to try out a real estate plugin (Not making a site for anything) and I like how most real estate or directory sites have a search option right on the homepage.

I understand that if you drag a widget into the sidebar it merely comes out as a small box on the side of your page. I’m trying to figure out how people have their pages look like this site..

    https://realestatesorell.com.au/
    https://rhw.com.au/

Sorry for sounding clueless but I have Googled this and I can’t seem to find exactly what I am looking for. Is it the way that the theme is coded or is this some plugin?

  • Hello,
Sidebars position and search widgets look have been registered in the template and by some WordPress functions, it will show on the specific place. Also, some plugins like ours (WPL) have some sidebars that will show in his internal pages.
Our plugins have all these sidebars and you can place the search widget in the position like these sample sites.
WPL has some internal views like Property Listing or Profile listing … and each view has some useful sidebar for placing necessary widgets and widget face will be changed based on his position.
We also have some more sidebar position that will help you to have exactly your experience from your site in our exclusive template (WPL28). You can review WPL28 at this URL.
Also, you can find more information about the WPL here.
