    Hello. I want my forum to appear inside WordPress, but with sidebar, so that im not interested in “only get header and footer” integration option. But when I choose some full page template from the list, forum do not appear, thre is just the wordpress page template.

    My question is – what code shall I past into the full page template, which I will create for the forum, to let the forum appear?

    Hi,

    Glad you sorted the full page option. It should ‘just work’ without any code.

    For login/logout, if you have user integration on…. Again it should just work, but if you haven’t manually mapped users using the mapping tool, do check to ensure you are logged in as the user you think you are.

    There should be nothing preventing you from logging out. Check your phpBB cookie settings. If you are running a caching plugin, try disabling that to see if it is the issue.

    Note that there are a few bugs when using phpBB-in-WordPress template integration, especially with user integration. It will be released in tr next day or two. In the meantime you might want to try the nightly packages from wp-united.com.

    Hi,
    now I changed the template to simple header and footer due to problems, but I can’t get info the admin panel. It says that I’ve typed incorrect password. When I’m tryin to log in from forum this is the same problem. When I log in by wordpress, I am online and logged in forum, but still can’t reach the panel (incorrect password). Whats this? ??

    About my previous problem with sidebar template: I think this log in and log out problems was caused by avalible wordpress toolbar on forum top. Try it.

    I haven’t received e-mail with password, requested by me in my forum. Strange.

    I turned off user integration, nobody can log in – “incorrect password”. Whats wrong?! How can we get to our accounts? ??

    I went to my profile, just for changing password, and then… I sow that i have email of some different user!! In WP-Admin user mapping is connected OK. My password gone to someone else… :/

    Edit: lol, everybody have email and password of ONE user! Urfontunately, I dont know this password and this person won’t tell me.

    WP-United doesn’t modify the wordpress users table in any way, so something strange is going on. I can assure you that you are in no way “being logged in as another user”.

    Note that the simple header and footer is cached, so if you have a page element showing you as logged in on the phpBB forum, it will show the wrong user. As explained in the setup, the simple header and footer option may not be appropriate if you have dynamic headers and footers. Alternatively you can disable caching in options.php.

    The admin bar should be being suppressed on simple header + footer pages for this reason.

    Not sure what you mean about the sidebared page. Which full page template are you using? Page.php? With which theme? Did you try the nightly packages?

    As for not being able to get to the dashboard, what I expect has happened is that your wordpress admin user has been automatically mapped to a new phpBB user and your phpBB admin user has been mapped to a new WordPress user. Try logging out completely from phpBB, then go to your site/wp-login.php. Then log in with your old WordPress admin username and password. First thing you should do once in is go to the user mapper and check permissions and user mapping.

    If you are able to, it would be great if you could post this information on https://www.wp-united.com, together with info from the “get help” section, if you are still able to access that, and any relevant screenshots.

    On your EDIT: unless another plugin is doing this, I can assure you that your assumption that “everyone has the same username and email” is incorrect. Have you confirmed this by looking in the users table in the database?

    Hi, sorry for the repeated post — posting from my cellphone with a bad connection.

    It would be great if you could more clearly detail the steps you’re taking when you do post the bug report — e.g. you say you can’t get into the admin, then in the next post you say you have disabled user integration… you must have got into the admin in order to be able to do that. A bit more information, together with the info from the “Get Help” section, will enable me to help you more.

    If you can try the nightly package form WP-United,.com, that will help too.

    I can reassure you that WP-United is not mapping one user to multiple users — that’s not possible. Your password hasn’t “gone” to anyone else so don’t worry.

    Hello,

    issue is clear now. On the page and forum there are 4 people – me, my friend, his girl and test account. I have had user and theme intergration turned on. Then, once I wanted to log in into the forum admin panel (I was already logged in to the site and forum with correct nickname, login integration worked fine) – I couldn’t. Forum says that i have incorrect password. Impossible! To check this, i logged out from the site, and logged in from the site – username and password was right. But still same problem while trying to get to the forum admin panel. Than I logged out, and tried to log in from the forum – I couldn’t – “incorrect password”. So the issue was clear – forum accounts was broken.

    The same problem had my friend, but! His girl could log in. I clicked the password reset for my accound. No email has come. So I got into the forum profile settings, and then I saw that… I had e-mail of this girl, an everybody had except of testing account! My password reset gone to her e-mail. She gave me the link and the password so that I now can login. This could be all, but…

    …I can’t change my e-mail back, as it says that this e-mail is already used. I check it in the admin panel – no user have my e-mail. My friend can’t change his e-mail back, too. Have you got any idea how can we fix it? I really don’t want to create new e-mail accound just for the forum. After this all I turned off the user integration.

    Very strange. I wasn’t logged as another user. I was logged as me, but with her password and e-mail. I checked it in the WP-United user mapping, and the accounts was connected correctly.

    Now about theme integration and login problem: the temple I was using goes that way:

    <?php get_header(); ?>
    <div id="content">
    <?php the_content(); ?>
    </div>
    <div id="right">
     <here was code with the sidebar>
    </div>
    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    Visually it worked OK. But I could not log out from the forum main page. On other forum pages i was once logged in, once logged out – changing with page refreshing.

    The last thing is that from time to time my site get the MySqul error, while nobody can view it. I don’t have the error screenshot nor text, but once it was “error 500”. I suspect that this all is about WP-United.

    I will post this problem on your forum soon.
    Thanks.

    Sorry for the slow response.

    I’ve looked more closely and have also received some other error reports, and have found a bug that might cause some of the symptoms you describe if the user mapper panel is used to map phpBB users to WordPress users (rather than having them automatically created).

    I will release the fixes in v0.9.1.4. It should be ready shortly.

    I’m going to mark this as resolved. If v0.9.1.4 doesn’t fix the error for you, or you experience other errors, please feel free to post back.

    Thanks

    I uninstalled WP United forever, as it has broken my database. After that, I have regulary mysql problems on my site, plugins do not work propertly etc. Maybe I back to this plugin in one year time, when it definetly will be fine.

    Plugin Author jhong

    (@jhong)

    Sorry to hear that, but I am surprised as it makes no database changes. We have an active bunch of users, including some high-profile sites, who wouldn’t be using it if it trashed databases.

    Thanks for the feedback anyway, and best of luck for the future.
