Thanks for trying MetaSlider.

Can you share details on what you mean by “seems full of bugs”, please?

A general complaint like this is not helpful. It doesn’t help our team fix any bugs, or help people considering whether or not to use the plugin.

But if you can share specific details, that will help make the plugin better.

I tried to make a 1000px x 705px slideshow
– preview does not scale correctly, but shows only a thubnail
– changing some settings, preview shows only one vertical slice of image
– on nivo slider, changing the effect will only affect first transition, all other transitions remain standard
– changing to a different slider, slideshow shows only one vertical slice instead of full image

After this, I gave up.

1 and 2: Yes, you’re right: the preview should be bigger. Our team has only recently taken over working on the plugin and we plan to improve this.

3. Thanks for the report on Nivo Slider. I’m testing now but don’t see that bug. Can I ask what type of transition you tried?

4. Sorry, I don’t understand this one. Could you explain more, please? Were you changing from Nivo Slider to FlexSlider, for example?

Gave it another try and changed my review.
I still get the bug on Nivo slider, I managed to resolve the other issues by uninstalling a different slider plugin and carefully checking my settings.

I did some more testing last night and it seems to we do need to fix the behavior of a couple of NivoSlider effects.

This ended up being a very helpful review, and we appreciate you taking the time to post it.
