I’m using the Travelogue theme (not that it matters, I don’t think) on a fresh install of WP 2.8. Even though I have full feeds checked in the Settings, I only get summary feeds on the /feed/ URLs.

    What should I check?

Got a link to the site? I can check the feed and look at it myself.

Most common cause of this: People using the old RSS.92 feed instead of the new RSS2 or ATOM feeds. The old RSS.92 feed doesn’t do full text.

This also happens a lot when you use Feedburner, for some reason. If it’s grabbing the wrong feed, then it won’t have full text in it.

Also note that even if you’re using the correct feed link, Firefox only displays the summaries, even though the full text is in there. Use a feed reader like Google Reader instead, to see the actual full text.

Hi Otto! I thought about asking you this question elsewhere, but I figured you’d probably answer it here anyway. ??

You were right, though. I was getting only as far as the Firefox feed preview before giving up. My actual aggregator displays it correctly. That’ll learn me.

    It solved my problem

    Change that to feed://yourblog.com/?feed=atom
