I have downloaded a recent backup of my site to my computer. I want to migrate the pages/posts and graphics to another host where I’m developing a new site. I looked into the uploads file and I only see images for the year 2020. The site has been up since 2017. So I worry that the database is not complete.

A connected question: Each week after the weekly backup, when I look at the updraft page, the latest backup has a note that it is not finished.
Does the backup every complete or are all my backups incomplete?

    How can i fix this?

    Hi,

Can you check if you have other uploads.zip file? Sometimes the uploads are split into small archives (default 400Mb).

From your description it appears that the backup is incomplete. Can you send me a copy of the backup log? This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Hi,

    Thanks for sending the log.

The log shows that the backup has successfully completed. Do you have 2 uploads.zip? You should have uploads.zip and uploads2.zip as shown in the log.

    Hi,
I only got uploads2.zip. I went back today and tried to download uploads.zip but nothing happened.

I have been working with this because I am developing a new site on another host. I am not bringing over the plugins, just the database and the images. If I can’t get a backup of the old images, can I just download the uploads folder from the current site and copy it to the new site?

I do have the migrate app with paid support, but I won’t use that until I’m actually migrating.

    Hi,

    > Yes, you can do that and your site will still display (images/media) properly.
