Fukasawa and jQuery?

WP noob alert here. I have Fukasawa installed as well as Simple Lightbox version 2.5.2. Simple ligthbox works when I switch to another theme, but does not work with Fukasawa enabled (clicking on photos in a gallery links to the file).

I am suspecting that maybe the problem is that jQuery is not loading? Or the wrong version is loading or there is some other jQuery conflict? Any advice appreciated!.
