    Good day all …

I have set Updraft to backup to a Box account via FTP and generally it works. However, the “uploads” folder/archive seems to be giving Box or Updraft problems.

The resulting archive weighs in at about 110MB. When using Dropbox or Google Drive, things seem to go just fine. I have been asked to use Box as it is our enterprise cloud solution.

When the uploads archive is being uploaded to Box, it seems as if it gets 60+MB in, creates an archive at Box, then continues to upload the remaining 40+MB creating a “v2” version of the file that is corrupt and not a valid zip archive.

There is little I seem to have access to for the Box side of the equation on this. I see some things in the “advanced” settings in Updraft but am not sure if any of those can help with this.

Anyone else experience this (with any FTP account or Box specifically) or have any ideas on how to overcome this issue?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Mark,

Please can you post a link to the whole log file? (e.g. Post via pastebin).

    Best wishes,
    David

Thanks David. Never used pastebin before but just created an account and dumped the log there. Try this URL:

    https://pastebin.com/Um5dN3G7

Let me know if that helps or if there is anything else you need.

FYI, tested it with a plain FTP process to a webhost I have and the archives all came through just fine. So it seems a Box issue for sure.

    Hi Mark,

Curious. The log looks completely normal; there’s one uploads zip, and it is uploaded successfully, first attempt:

That’s saying that the whole 100Mb file went in one go. So, I can’t think of anything to suggest – it seems that it’s something that’s happened internally inside Box, if you’re not seeing a single 100Mb file… I think you need to ask Box support to take a look; the log should be useful for them too, so that they can see that from this end it seems to have uploaded normally.

    Best wishes,
    David

I have a ticket open at Box so we’ll see if they can find anything in the log. I’ll report once I hear anything from them.

Thanks for the help so far.

    Mark
