Any idea why I can’t seem to modify any cloned files in wp-content/uploads/sites/#/(directory)/ through FTP? It’s like they were created by a different user, their permissions are set to 755 and I’m not the owner.

I can’t change the folder permissions and I can’t modify any files. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hmmm. We’ve never seen that before. You might have to check with your host. The Cloner just uses standard PHP file system calls. So whatever context your PHP process is running under is what will be copying those files. This is almost always the exact same context as WordPress and your main hosting FTP account. If you’re using an FTP account you created later, it might not be the same / work. Is the account you are using the original FTP account that was created with your hosting account?

This sounds like an abnormal / broken hosting setup on the surface.

Please let us know what you figure out with hosting in case anyone else runs into this in the future too.

    Thanks!

This is most likely the case. It’s a different FTP account from the one used to install WP.

    Thanks!
