FTP large file requires password

  • hello…
    I’m trying to upload a pdf prospectus so it can be downloaded…the regular uploader doesn’t work because the file is too big.
    I uploaded it to the contents/uploads folder so it can be added to my page via URL – but unfortunately in order to download it anyone wishing to do so will require our FTP password???

    any ideas?

    Try deactivating all of your plugins to explore whether any could be responsible. If none are, keep all plugins deactivated and switch to the Twenty Fifteen/ Fourteen theme to see whether it could an issue with your theme.
