FTP error when connecting to server

  • First I got canned connect to server aaa.com:21, then I added FS_METHOD to be ssh, as I only allow SSH conenctions for FTP.

    Now I get can’t connect to the server. It never asks about the code or anything like when I do normal SFTP my server.

    I added to confiq FTP_PUBKEY, FTP_PRIKEY, FTP_HOST, and I still get the error.

    I am trying to add a theme to my setup. I host my own site, so I know all of the user id’s, and password to get in.

    What should I check next, and any information on how to fix this error.

    I don’t use SSL for a HTTPS site, just use the SSH for connections to the site.

    I am running slackware on the server.
