FTP details requested in localhost plugin install

  • Hi there,

    Whenever I attempt to install a plugin (so far only ecommerce plugins) WordPress requests ‘Connection Information’, i.e. my FTP details (Host name, FTP username, password).

    I’ve installed WordPress on my local machine and have no idea what this means in local terms. Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.
