I’ve converted about 600-700 imaged to webp format, and while testing the CDN my FTP credentials passed testing in both plaintext FTP and SFTP.

I used SFTP to successfully copy the media library, includes, plugin files, theme files and minify files using the provided interface.

The transfers all completed, but now I have thousands of entries in the failed uploads queue – they all cite “Improper FTP credentials.”

The queue fails every time I try to re-upload CDN contents, and if I purge it, the thousands of entries re-appear.

When I try to visit one of the URLs it says it couldn’t upload to, the file is there.

But the media library wepb converter is now failing to download the new files from your conversion server. So we are chewing through our hourly and monthly limit, which is decreasing, and getting nothing in return.

Please explain why your plugin can not manage basic FTP file functions, thank you.

    Hello @adamlaughlin

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help!
To clarify this, can you please share which CDN option and CDN provider is selected in the W3 Total Cache CDN settings?

Can you also please share if you visit the CDN URL of the file that is in the upload queue, are you able to see it or are you getting 404 or simmilar?

It would be great if you could share the website URL and the screenshot of the CDN settings.

    Thanks!

Hi Marko, thanks for replying to my question.

We’re using the Self Hosted via Subdomain option, and when I visited the “remote address” that failed to transfer, the file was indeed there. Some files were transferred manually so I assumed the ones I tested were among those.

I can reinstall the plugin to get you a screenshot if you still think it could help you figure out the problem. Cheers.

    Hello @adamlaughlin

    Thank you for your feedback.
So if I am correct, the FTP was working at some poing and now it’s not.
This is most likely related to the server resources since you ar eusing self hosting CDN.
You should check if there are any limitations set on the server which are blocking the credentials usage or the file upload.

We’ve tested this and it works as expexted.

    Thanks!
