  • You have to set permission on wp-config as writeable. W3TC need to write on that file. After the warning disappeared, you can set it to unwriteable again for security measures.

    Or you can manually add this to your wp-config
    define('WP_CACHE', true);

    Better yet… this is what I have instead of my web page

    W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /www/doc/www.fiorita.cz/www/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.

    Finally I managed to fix the problem by fixing wp-config (thank you very much muchmcuh11!!!) and playing with the settings

    I’ve manually changed my config & htaccess files, but still get an error for wp config?

    I put the line at the bottom of the config file – does it matter where it goes?
