Hi, unfortunately a documentation for the FTP functionality is not ready yet. Nevertheless, FTP functionality is used so that you can upload files using FTP transfer. You can use it either to upload files to the web server where your WordPress website resides, or to another location (another FTP server) using FTP credentials.
Actually what happens is that the files are first uploaded to a temp directory of your website and then they are transferred to their final location using FTP.
Using the visual editor of the plugin go to General tab, locate option Folder Access Method and set it to ftp. Then put your FTP credentials in the FTP Access Credentials option.
You put the credentials in the format: username:password@ftpdomain
If the ftp domain is different than your website, you also need to activate option Use FTP Domain.
