Ftp being filled up files "sess_….."

  • Hello!
    My problem is that ftp is being filled with 0 byte files starting with name sess_… i find 1000ish files like those each day, tho i delet them always-they seem to make the site crash sometimes(not sure about that tho). They are outside my directories-most of them on the same level as wp-content etc, bunch of them inside those also. I don’t know whats going on, any idea how to fix it?

    Have you contacted your hosting provider about that? There’s probably something helpful in their logs.

    Ok, something is doing this, and it’s not WordPress, because WordPress doesn’t do that. ??

    Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
