FTP and/or SQL help!

  • I have 3 domains registered through 1&1.com.
    I use FileZilla 3.3.5.1 as my FTP.
    I set up my SQL(s) on the 1&1 admin dashboard.

    I can’t figure out how to operate 3 separate sites. Either none will work, or they will all mirror the original site. If anyone could give me comprehensive details as to what needs done to be able to operate these sites, it would be much appreciated!

  • Do you have hosting with 1&1.com? You just need to create 3 seperate sub-folders for each site and then have each domain destination point to each sub-folder if that’s what you were looking for.

    I host with 1&1.com.

    If I point each site to a new destination, and then create 3 separate folders in the FTP under the original ‘/’ directory, it should work?

    My 3 sites are:
    zackschmidt.com
    worksbyzack.com
    goodfoodisgood.com

    I set those destinations to /zs, /wbz, and /food.
    Within FileZilla, I create 3 new folders under the main ‘/’ directory, each named as the destinations. Is this correct so far?

    yes it is than point your domains to their corresponding folders vis their domain manager.
