FSE navigation page missing

Hi, I have CPT UI Extended. I created a new post type called Photos which has archive set to true, rest api true, etc. I can get to the page by typing /photos/. When I got into the site editor and go to navigation and try to add photos page to the menu, it cannot find an archive page. I can manually type it in. But then the menu item has no “selected” state because WP doesn’t know it’s on the photos archive page. Am I missing something?
