Frustrated with simple header color change

the header wont display none for color. or if i have to have a color i want it the color of the body background image. My css is not accepted even with important

Looks like you have a bunch of CSS errors on your CSS – try validating it here:

https://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/#validate_by_input

Copy the actual CSS to the direct input box there.

i made the changes to css. header still issue

The validator shows me 15 errors in your style.css file:

One of them is that this is invalid – and you have this in a bunch of places:
