Frustrated! Error due to "www."

I have been trying to get this to work for HOURS I am so frustrated.
Sitemap creates fun, uploads fine..but when I click on the link in google tools for my sitemap I get an error.
It’s due to the www. part int he link. Without the www. in the link it works..
Any clue? Does this even matter?

First one works..but in google tools it auto adds the www. as in the second link.
