• Greetings! I am slowly learning the “poetry” that is PHP. However, it seems I need to learn te ABC’s first….After searching the forum, I couldn’t find a detailed yet basic “how to” for displaying the most recent headline posts on the frontpage.

    The basics:
    1) I want to display the most 5 most recent posts on my webpage’s frontpage (all categories).
2)The front page is ‘static’, created with html, and not created with wordpress.
    3) i have a table all set up to insert the script on my frontpage, but I do not have a clue of how to do this.

    The question:
    1) Is there a premade .php script out there that I can just caopy and paste after changing the paths?
    2) Should I insert the PHP script directly into the html where I want my 5 headlines?
    3) or should I create an inline frame and a seperate .php page for this? which is better or does it matter?
