    I am not completely sure I’m sold on the idea of displaying the image post-upload because it risks conflicting with the design of one’s website, however I am trying to work out how to display a preview of the image during the upload process once one is selected. Not quite the same, but definitely similar.

    That would be an excellent solution. Displaying a preview when the image is selected would work for me too. I think it would be a good reminder to the uploader what image they selected before actually uploading them frontend.

    • I went with a solution that uses an image uploader plugin.
      And does exactly that.

      However I would greatly appreciate to have this built into nextGen and make use of the other functionality NextGEN offers.
