    So if I select the tic box for “Frontend” and drag the slider to 120 seconds, what does this exactly do to the “frontend”, how and what does it affect?

    That would mean that the WordPress heartbeat API would be limited to 120 seconds per request for all locations on the front end of your site (not the admin).
