frontend push notification subscription

    Bonjour Murali,

    Since version 1.5.6, it is a very good option to be able to manage the subscription to push notifications from your account settings.Thank you for this work

    However, I didn’t understand how it works.

    Indeed, when I want to set this option from my desktop, I get an error message: “Notification permission not granted by user. Error in saving notification settings”

    When I set this from my smartphone, it works (except for the comment subscription which I cannot authorize)

    Please check in your browser setting whether you blocked or removed notification settings for this particular site. If it is blocked then it will show this error.

    Comments on all activities and Comments on my post/ my activities are toggle option either one needs to be turned like if both are turned on Comments on all activities will be turned off

    In my demo site it is working fine, Please try. In below it shows subscription saved, Comments on all activities turned off because comments on my post / my activities is turned on

    In future, I will try to add condition not to display entire menu if notification settings not granted/allowed in browser by user

    Thanks for the explanation, it worked.

    With smartphone, would it be possible to display the save settings message with a popup? Because the button is at the bottom and the validation message at the top. We have to scroll up to find out if the settings have been saved.

    Otherwise, I can’t translate “Your notification settings have been saved”. I found the string in the .pot file, translated in French with poedit to the pnfpb_push_notification-fr_FR.po and pnfpb_push_notification-fr_FR.mo files, but the translation is not taken into account. Does this string exist?

    It is coming from javascript pnfpb_pushscript_pwa.js. I will look into language related things in next release.
