Front Page will not load or appear as available template

  • I am building my website with a theme that uses the Gutenverse plugin and I have created my Front Page. The Front Page will not load at all in preview (it’s just blank), and it does not appear as a page in my WordPress dashboard, or as an available template to try to apply to a page. I can see other templates available to apply to a page, like “about”, “Blank Canvas,” “blog,” etc. When I de-activate the Gutenverse plugin, I can see a preview of my content without the style settings that would be applied with Gutenverse. I also am able to preview home page content from other themes I have tried that do not use the Gutenverse plugin, so it seems like an issue specific to Gutenverse.

    I am using the Startupzy theme.

    Hi @andawn

    Can you please check if there are any error message on the preview page? you can do that by right click and select inspect or inspect element and then find console. second, please send us your gutenverse system status.

    Since I had not gotten very far on building my page, I deactivated and deleted the theme and deactivated the Gutenverse plugin, then re-installed the theme and started afresh with a new child theme, and the issue seems to have gone away. I still am not sure what caused it and realize that the resolution is not ideal for a case where someone might lose more work.

    As far as screenshots to share, literally the only thing that was displaying on the screen underneath the address bar was a blank white page.
