• Our website’s home page features a slider with about 5 images, but in the last several weeks, it won’t load completely. When someone goes to our home page, the loading bar for our slider goes about half or 75% of the way to complete, but never finishes loading. We don’t have problems loading pictures on any of our other pages.

Our header & footer company logos have also vanished in the last few weeks – I can see small icons where the logos were/should be, but the actual logos don’t show up.

Has anyone else had this problem recently? How can I get the home page slider working again and repair our site’s vanishing logos?

  • Can you post your site URL?

Your images are hard linked to staging.inboundnow.tv
Change their address to /wp-content/uploads/2012/08/imagename.xxx instead of staging.inboundnow.tv/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/imagename.xxx.

However, if they aren’t hardcoded. Visit Permalinks on your admin and it will update your domain I believe for your media uses.

Did you recently change domain names?

How/where do I change the image addresses? In the stylesheet, or somewhere else?

We didn’t recently change domain names, but we were using the staging.inboundnow.tv to set up our site before going live with a new design on jetadvisors.com last fall.

Okay. First go to admin panel – settings – permalinks. Just go there. Then go to your site (clear all cache) and see if the pictures show

Let me know if that doesn’t work

Everything’s the same as before – still not working.

Just fixed the pictures for the home page slider; the person who set it up used uBillboard, which I’d managed not to even notice in my dashboard somehow.

I haven’t used this plugin but I believe it might help. Look at the below options first

Make sure the url are correct in Settings – General
Mare sure there isn’t anything in the path in Settings – Media

Looks like you got it working!
