Front page slider disappeared after working fine for months

Sliders on our homepage have been working fine for months, but I just realized they are gone (although none of the settings were changed). Although they are still on the blog page (which is not the home landing page). I am running Pinboard 1.1.2 and WordPress 3.9.3…didn’t want to upgrade until I resolved the slider problem.
