Front page picture will not change

  • Hello,
    I am unable to change the background image on the front page. If i change theme the new picture shows, but if I go back to Mesmerize, the old pic i still there.
    I have tried to uninstall the theme, then reistall it.
    The picture is even deleted permanentely in the Media-folder.
    On Costumizing/General settings/Background picture, the new picture show up as chosen, but the old pic is still as the background picture.
    What to do?

    It seems you are using an maintenance mode over your page.

    Can you deactivate it so I can have a look at the picture?

    It seems you do not have a front page set for your site.

    ?You can set your desired homepage from Wp Admin -> Settings -> Reading -> Homepage.

    Thanks, but still the main picture on the opening page should change when we choose Change picture? It is changed in other themes. It seems undeletable?

    Actually your page is displaying the not found template.

    Please add this extra CSS code in Customizer -> General Settings -> Additional CSS ?:

    .error404 .header.color-overlay {
    background:unset!important;
    }

    I have not changed anything but the textbokses, th logo and the text in the menu.
    I could not change the picture also before I deleted it.

    Hello again,
    I tried your advice, and now at least the picture was there for a while. But the page was a mess.
    When I tried to edit it, a default image came up, which again was not possible to change.

    You can try the following line of code:

    remove_theme_mod( ‘background_image’ );

    in functions.php

    Please see:

    After that you can delete the line of code.This should remove the theme background image from your page.

    Hello,
    the Theme File Editor is not a choice in my program.
    Can it be located in another meny? Havent found it.

    I’m having the same problem and it’s getting ridiculous. I pay for the premium license and everything is starting to break! I shouldn’t have to save the changes multiple times for them to take and my front image is stuck.
