I am new to having a website, but I have my own site hosted by hostgator, and I currently have the Modern WordPress theme. While logged in and editing, my site looks and functions correctly. However, once I log off from WordPress when done editing, my front page (and only front page) reverts to displaying the default WordPress sample page. If I click on the Sample link, I receive the 404 Page not Found. If any other page is clicked on, they all work fine. However, if I click on the Home page again,it goes back to the sample page. Once log back in, it all works fine again. This has been confirmed by some of my friends as well. I can’t seem to find a similar forum about this.

    Any ideas?

Is there just a setting I’m missing or one I need to change?

    Coding issue?

  • Do you have a caching plugin active? Most times they don’t show cached pages to logged in users but do show them to everyone else.

Just deactivated WP Super Cache. That’s the only cache plugin I see that I have. No change though. Still doesn’t display my front page when logged off.

    Thanks, but any other ideas?

So I guess I corrected it now by actually DELETING WP Super Cache. Thanks for the thought…it seems to work now.
