Front Page Menus reverting to front page

  • Hi:

    I have an inactive blog I’m thinking of restarting.

    I discovered an issue with the drop-down menu bar on the main page. When selecting any of the categories to access that archive the selection goes nowhere. The URL changes but you arrive back at the main page.

    If someone can give me an idea as to why that would be extremely helpful.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
