I’m still on the steep bit of the learning slope here so please bear with me!

I use this blog as an information source for our main e-commerce site:

The links to “Recent posts” down the left hand side of the front page of my blog don’t seem to be linked to anything.

Clicking on a link just brings up the “Oops that page can’t be found” error message and then we’re invited to conduct a search.

The same error occurs with all of the links so whatever I’m doing wrong, at least I’m consistent!

Can anyone out there point me in the right direction please?

  • Does the behavior change in any way if you temporarily set your WordPress permalinks back to the default?

    Hi Clayton.

Thanks for that – problem solved.

There’s lots I don’t understand about the details of of using WordPress and altering the format of the Permalinks was one of the few amendments I made (I think in response to an SEO suggestion).

I’ll leave things well alone in future!

    Thanks for your time.

Some info that might be helpful if you decide you still want to change the permalink structure. Using Permalinks

    Hi Clayton.
Unless I’m mistaken I can’t see much practical benefit in changing from “Ugly” permalinks to “Pretty” permalinks so I think I’ll stay Ugly.

I really appreciate the time you took to help me out!

    Kind regards

    You’re welcome!
