• I am in need of recommendations.
I am building a WordPress site for my school I work at. They want the home screen to look like this: https://imgur.com/a/bW5qI

I have managed to “kind of” reproduce it buy setting the blue circles as a background and using the siteorigins page builder plugin: https://imgur.com/TsWZ5Kl

Still needs work formatting it and what not. However I am wondering if anyone has any better ideas of how to reproduce this.

  • css would be best but complicated, I’d be inclined to build the graphic in Photoshop or Fireworks, then slice it up so you have space for your copy.

No Way do NOT use a sliced image. That is 90’s web design.

Did yo get the first screenshot from a website? URL?

You do not want to try to line up text to a background image, it will never work across browser/screen sizes.

You will need to make each content div a circle with blue background and white text and use CSS positioning to get them in a circle like that.

I strongly suggest against that as it will not be responsive. Try to talk them into something different and remind them that the web is not print and there are limitations to how things can be displayed.

Quality content is MUCH MORE IMPORTANT than how it looks!

This first screenshot is the template they made up in MS Word for me to replicate into webdesign.

Yeah, unfortunately, MS Word is neither a design program or a web program.

Are there links in the graphic?

I would just make the whole thing an image.
